Intensive Russian Assaults Eliminate Power Across Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure targeted in Ukraine
The country's power facilities have come under increased attacks in recent weeks

During the night, Russian aerial assaults have caused power cuts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were hurt while local people in the city's east were left without electricity and faced interruptions to drinking water, per reports from city officials.

Meanwhile, a minor was killed in a separate aerial attack in the southeastern region in the southeastern part, according to regional authorities.

Moscow has escalated strikes on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while officials has requested "real steps" from partner nations to increase pressure on Russia.

"What is required is not window dressing but firm measures - from the US, European nations and the G7 - in delivering air defence systems and implementing restrictions," was stated in a social media post.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen projectiles targeted the country's power systems, describing such assaults as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

Government representatives said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were striving to fix the damage.

A wave of strikes damaged electrical systems and civilian homes in the capital.

Several of the people hurt in the assaults on the city have been hospitalized, as confirmed by city authorities.

Regional authorities said the city experienced intense attacks throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child lost their life and several individuals were wounded.

The attacks follow nights of air raids in the region, portions of which are occupied by Moscow's military.

All of Ukraine is under warning for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are more difficult to detect.

Authorities told journalists that Moscow was deliberately attempting to demolish the national power system, with assaults already disrupting energy systems.

Officials stated energy workers and authorities were preparing for more assaults.
